The Greater Pittsburgh Business Connection (GPBC) is a business networking group dedicated to growing member businesses through networking meetings and events. The GPBC Online Payment System is for use by GPBC MEMBERS ONLY for the purpose of expediting payment for various Membership Dues, Fees, and Events.   These instances include but are not necessarily limited to: Membership Application and Background Check; Annual Membership Fees, Quarterly Membership Dues, and various Networking Events.  All members acknowledge and agree to abide by the Articles of Incorporation and Bylaws of the Greater Pittsburgh Business Connection, including with regard to costs and payment deadlines for dues, fees, and events.  Resignation, suspension, forfeiture, or expulsion from membership shall not relieve the business or individual from liability for any unpaid dues or other duly assessed fees or charges.  Any member may resign from the GPBC by providing the Board with oral or written notice two weeks prior to the effective date of the resignation. 

Shipping & Delivery

All dues, fees, and event costs assessed by the GPBC are membership and service costs and are not inclusive of physical products requiring shipping and delivery.  

Refund Policy

Application fees and membership dues are non-refundable. Event costs may be refunded in whole or in part in the case of event cancellation, depending on costs incurred by the GPBC in event planning and execution, and are to be refunded to all event-registered members within 30 days of cancellation. 

Privacy

GPBC recognizes the importance of the protection of Member Privacy and Personally Identifiable Information by providing an industry standard Secure website for all informational visits, communications, and referrals. It is to be recognized that the purpose of the GPBC is to provide a business networking environment where all publicly available information about member businesses is freely disseminated during meetings, events, referrals, and interaction on the GPBC website https://greaterpittsburghbusinessconnection.com  The purpose of the GPBC organization is to provide promotional and networking opportunities for its members, which includes the promulgation of publicly available member information available to the organization.  Non-Member visitors to the GPBC website or prospective members completing the Contact form have Personally Identifiable information purged from the site on a routine basis. Non-Members, prospective members, and former members are not marketed to by the GPBC, nor is their information sold or traded to other entities. 

Use of Web Cookies 

The GPBC website uses performance cookies to track visitor activity and to collect information on how people use the website. A cookie is a text file that a website transfers to a computer’s hard drive for record-keeping purposes. Cookies do not cause any harm to the user’s computer and do not contain viruses. For example, Google Analytics cookies track how users arrive at, browse, or use the GPBC website and to highlight areas where we can improve, such as navigation, website experience, and marketing campaigns. The data stored by these cookies never shows personal details from which individual identity can be established. 

Children 

The GPBC website is not targeted to children of any age, and we do not knowingly collect Personal Information from non-business owners. If we discover that any underage child has provided us with Personal Information, we will promptly delete such Personal Information from our systems.
